Free Crochet Pattern: Newborn Holland Hat

Even though it is still winter where I live, I am ready for spring.  I have been thinking about all the things that I can make with crochet flowers.  This hat is one of them!  It would be cute for a newborn girl any time of the year but especially in celebration of the arrival of spring!  I made this hat with a 100% cotton yarn- Willow Meadow from Willow Yarns.  This is the softest cotton that I have ever worked with and I really enjoy crocheting with it.   Materials needed: • U.S. G- 4.0 MM crochet hook • Worsted weight yarn (one that's on the thinner side)- used here:           -Color A: Willow Meadow in Cream            -Color B: Willow Meadow in Peony           -Color C: Willow Meadow in Phlox •  Tapestry needle for sewing in the ends  Abbreviations: • MR= magic ring • ch= chain • sc= single crochet • hdc= half double crochet • dc= double crochet • sl st= slip stitch Finished size: • Newborn- to fits 12-13" head circumference (to make
