Tutorial: Valentine's Day DIY Conversation Heart Decoration

In the past I haven't decorated too much for Valentine's day but this year, I am really into it.  I have made/am making bunch of projects to celebrate the holiday.  The first one I made are these candy heart decorations and I'm so excited to display them on my mantel.

I started with the following supplies:

-a 3 pack of burlap cover canvas (8x10)
-a printed heart template
-Craft Essentials acrylic paints in Margarita, Twinkle Pink, and Purple Pansy
-I used my Silhouette Cameo and red vinyl to the following sayings: "be mine", "kiss me", and "xoxo"

I cut the heart template out.

Then I traced around the heart with a pencil.

Next, I painted the heart with one of the colors I choose.  First I did green.

Then I did it with the other colors and let all three of them dry completely.

After they were completely dry, I stuck the vinyl letters to each of the hearts.

This was a quick, easy project and I am really excited about how they turned out.
