Crochet Project: 3 Valentine Sweet Hearts

I love all of the projects that Lucy at Attic 24 makes.  I want to make so many of them but usually don't get around to it.  When I saw her Valentine Sweet Heart, though, I started right away.

I decided to make one for each of my girls, for there rooms or bedroom doors.

I used the following yarns and a F/5-3.75MM hook.  Unless noted, I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn.

The pattern is written in UK terms and can be found here.  To translate to US terms, see below:

WREATH #1-
FLOWERS:
2 in 1034 Sherbet
2 in 1132 Shrimp
2 in 1188 Lavender
2 in 1246 Lipstick
2 in 1711 Spice
2 in 1084 Magenta
2 in 1390 Clematis
2 in 1061 Plum
2 in 1083 Pomegranate
LEAVES:
6 in 1065 Meadow
6 in 08194 (Red Heart Detroit)

WREATH #2-
4 in 1188 Lavender
3 in 1034 Sherbet
2 in 1390 Clematis
3 in 1068 Turquoise
3 in 1003 Aster
3 in 1422 Aspen
LEAVES:
6 in 1065 Meadow
6 in 08194 of Red Heart Detroit

WREATH #3-
3 in 1083 Pomegrante
3 in 1241 Fondant
3 in 1023 Raspberry
3 in 1080 Pale Rose
3 in 1130 Candyfloss
3 in 1246 Lipstick
LEAVES:
6 in Red Heart Comfort Sport Guacamole
6 in 08194 (Red Heart Detroit)

Once I made all of the flowers and leaves, I decided to take a shortcut.  Instead of weaving in the ends, I hot glued them on the back side of each flower and leaf.

Then I hot glued the flowers onto the pipe cleaner hearts.

I also decided not to add the buttons because I thought they looked great without them.

I love, love, love them!
