My youngest daughter is 6 months old now. I created this lovey for her. I was thinking that I wanted something that she can chew on- she has 2 teeth and more on the way- so I used 100% cotton yarn. Also, she is getting ready to start sleeping in her crib so I wanted to give her a small security toy to give to her every night.
Materials
needed:
• 4.50 MM crochet hook
•
Hobby Lobby I Love this Cotton!- I used 4 colors- 95 Antique Cream, 24 Ivory, 312 Hot Orchid, 262 Mulberry
• 2- 6mm safety eyes
•
Tapestry needle for sewing in the ends
Gauge:
• The gauge is not really important. You can make this with any size hook and yarn really, the finished size will just vary. My blanket measures about 8" across.
Abbreviations:
• ch= chain
• sc= single crochet
• dc= double crochet
• sc2tog= single crochet 2 together
• MR= magic ring
• sl st= slip stitch
• picot= ch 3, sl st into the 1st ch
• picot= ch 3, sl st into the 1st ch
